Christmas

This Christmas season was so different in so many ways.  Cole is a year older so the excitement of Christmas through his eyes was amazing.  He REALLY understood the reason for Christmas this year and it made my heart sing.  It was precious.  Judson was excited about anything and everything is big brother was excited about.  We are so blessed by these two boys and I am so blessed to have Levi has my husband. 

This year Christmas was put into prospective about what is important and what is not with Olivia being in the hospital and us all being apart for the first time in a LONG time.  We first hand witnessed how great OUR God is and his mercies.  Only by His grace was Olivia healed.  It was our own Christmas miracle...

Our Christmas started with the 4 of us opening gifts and eating breakfast.  After that we went to the James' for gifts and lunch and then on to Dalhart for Mexican food and more fun.  It was a fun filled day full of family and reflecting on the REAL reason for Christmas.  We hope everyone had a blessed and Merry Christmas!! 

Christmas Eve

This Christmas Eve we did something different...we spent the evening at our own church for a candlelight service and dinner, just the four of us.  It was alot of fun and I think it will be our new tradition.  We usually rush from Christmas to Christmas on the actual day so it was nice to relax and enjoy the moment as our family of 4.  Again here are the pictures we just had to have....

Packages

This year I wanted to do something different with my packages.  I always wrap in brown paper with pretty ribbon and bows, but this year I thought I would let Cole help me.  I thought I would wrap the packages and he could draw pictures, names, etc.  Cole loves crafts and I thought he would be all over it for hours....WRONG!!  He did manage to draw on a few, but it was nothing like I expected!! Another Ha ha moment for me about expectations....I think I am suppose to be learning a lesson here!!  Sooo...I ended up doing most of the work, and lets just say this mommy is NOT crafty!

OHHH Christmas Tree

I LOVE dressing the boys in matching jammies and trying to get the PERFECT picture!!  Ha...last year was easy because Cole would smile and Judson didn't move...this year after 45 minutes Levi told me it was enough!!  Our fun photo shoot had turned into more work than I expected.  I did manage to catch a few good ones and some that are "in the moment."
