Judson is ONE!!

I can't believe that our sweet little boy is ONE today!  It has been the fastest year.   I have loved watching him grow, change and evolve into this little person. I am amazed daily at what he can do at such a young age, I guess that must be the diffrence in a first and second child.

Judson takes very short breaks to eat...he is a good eater but doesn't lose much time to eat!
He still has 4 teeth, no new ones this month.

Thank goodness for GOOD sleep! This week Judson has slept all night...every night. Answered PRAYERS!!

He still takes 2 naps a day...ranging from 1-2 hours.

Judson LOVES Cole, they play and fight so well together! I can't wait to continue to watch them become best buds! Judson tries to do everything Cole does. I love it!!!

Sleep

On the week of Judson's first birthday, we have successfully got him to sleep through the night! It all started after a very long weekend and Monday with no rest day or night! We were officially in need of an intervention!
Monday night I fed him and placed him in his bed awake...he cried for 50 minutes, it was horrible! He then slept all night and I woke him up the next morning at 9:15am! It was heavenly...I haven't gotten that much uninterrupted sleep in over a year!
Tuesday at nap and bedtime we did the same routine and he cried both times for less than 30 seconds but then slept great, I again woke him up this am at 9:15!
Everyone in our house this week and been so much happier and well rested. I still can't believe at the end of the week my little guy will be ONE!!

SOAP

So it happened, today it happened!! Cole got his first taste of soap and let me tell you he did NOT like it!

All summer he has been infatuated with "BAD Words" everyone was saying bad words whether they were or not. We have talked alot about " bad" words and that they had no meaning, God didn't make words to be bad and so forth!

Well today while I was preparing dinner he called me a "retard.". For the life of me I do not know where it came from, but the second it came out of his mouth he knew it wasn't good! He got a taste of not just any soap, but foam soap from the dispenser and he did NOT like it.
At the end of the night, when we were getting ready for bed, he told me..."Mom, I don't ever want to say bad words, I don't want to make you, daddy or God sad!!

Ahhhh SUCCESS...made a trying day so worth it!!!

Texas

Tonight we went to Texas with all the "James Gang." It was a great performance...however a bit lengthy for our two boys! They both loved it at the beginning, but by the middle they were tired and over it! They recovered at the end for the firework show!

We got to enjoy a good down poor in the middle of the performance! Cole was so excited to use his umbrella!
If you haven't seen it this summer I recommend going, this is the last week.

XIT

This past weekend was XIT weekend!  If you are from Dalhart or around the area you know all the fun that comes with that time.  We started enjoying all the exctiement on Thursday...our niece Olivia was singing the National Anthem.  I am bias, but it was BY FAR, her best performance to date.

Saturday started with the parade...Judson's first parade and he LOVED it! All the kids caught too much candy. Everyone had a great afternoon nap followed by yummy
Bar-B-Q and the rodeo!

We were so thankful to get some "XIT RAIN" too. Anyone that has been in Dalhart, knows it almost always rains at least one night of XIT!!
