Blocks and Poles

This week the blocks in the basement were laid as well as all the electricity poles going up!  I was amazed at how fast both of these projects went...next plumbing and the slab being poured!

Here kitty kitty

A few weeks ago me and the boys were walking out of the house to go look at the "new" house and we heard it!!  That awful noise that makes anyone jump...the rattle!  Eek I hate that noise and honestly it's only the second time we have ever had one here at the house.  I immediately got on the stick to find some cats!  If you know me at all you know I am not a Cat Lady and never will be!  But they are a necessity our here. And the boys LOVE  them!

AKA Smarts

Let me introduce you to Cole Bly AKA "Smarts."  A few weeks ago Cole started noticing that his cousins call me "aunt caca" (laugh if you must) but I take that nickname with pride.  Grayson and Olivia gave that to me ALL on their own at a very young age.

One Saturday night he asked me to give him a nickname.  If you know me well, I am a thinker and not one to give someone a "nickname" in a matter of seconds, so I did what any GREAT mom would do and told him to ask his Dad!  :)  Levi told Cole to give him a night to think it over.

All the way to church on Sunday, Cole drilled us on his nickname, we assured him we would have one after church!  I did my normal Sunday routine and visited and picked up Judson from nursery!  When I got back to the car THEY had decided on a name!!    It went something like this:

Cole:  Dad I thought of a nickname during church!
Levi:  Really Cole so did I!
Cole:  Let me tell you first Dad...I think it should be "smarts."
Levi: Chuckling... Cole I wanted to call you "brains," but "smarts is better."

So here you have it, the name we worked so hard to come up with...this ornery, adorable, talkative little guy would NOW like to be called "SMARTS" by ALL!

This past week we had the basement dug and cement poured, septic tank hole dug and water well house hole dug!  I'd say it was a productive week!!  :).

Slumber Party

Natalie had a little outpatient surgery last week and I decided she needed to come spend the night with me.  I thought she could rest more at our house...ha that was a joke!  My boys were so excited for Nannie and Olivia to spend the night!  She read them book after book!!!  She recovered fast and is 100%!!  Can't wait until next time Nannie!!

Friday night date night

One of my most favorite things to do is golf with the man.  We used to do it ALL the time before kiddos so it is always a nice treat now.  We are both very competitive so we like a good challenge!  We had a fun date night with the Day's and the Garcia's!  An added bonus to get to spend some sister time too, we had alot of laughs!
Isn't he a cutie?

I am so blessed that these two are my best friends, they know me like no one else does and love me for ME!!

4th of July

Happy 4th of July!  We spent this year the same as we have every year since I can remember.  We had a HUGE family cookout with WAY too much food,  played volleyball (men won one, woman won one), and watched fireworks.  We are so blessed that we are all so close and get to spend so much time together.  It's so fun that our kids are eachothers BEST FRIENDs!

Flat on the 4th

Adriane and her girls came out of the 4th to pick me and the boys up!  My car had spent the week in the shop and was finished, so they ventured out to get us.  All was well, until about 15 miles from the house and her "low tire" light came on.  When I got out to look I could hear the air gushing and a steeple sticking out about 3 inches.  Our husband were "busy" enjoying a round of golf so we got busy!  Well we aren't as fast at the tire shops, but we were pretty impressed with ourselves!!
Thanks Adriane for starting the day off with MANY laughs!  Love ya!

Swimming

We have swam a lot the past couple of weeks! It seems to be the only way to beat the hot and dry weather. Judson is fearless and Cole is getting very confident in swimming without his floaties on.
MEET Scuba Judson and Scuba Cole

Its always a BIG treat when Daddy can come!

Sweet Brothers

This melts my heart...minutes before they were fighting over a toy!  Now snuggling and asleep...in the words of Cole, " He's my BEST friend!"

Dirt Work & Well CHECK

This past week the dirt work was completed and the new well has been drilled!  We are excited to be on to the next step!!
