WEANING Disclaimer attached!!!!

DISCLAIMER!!!  FOR SOME OF YOU THIS MAY BE TOO MUCH INFORMATION!!

I wanted to remember when this happened for Judson and I...so here is a short blog.  Last week I decided it was time to wean Judson...he was only nursing at bedtime and occasionally at nap and at times when he was waking up at night.  I decided he was waking up more at night to nurse.  I knew it was time to stop but since he turned one I kept telling myself he would give it up.  WELL...he wasn't stopping anytime on his own terms.

So last week I decided it was time...right before he turned 18 months (where has the time gone).  He was mad at me for a few days, we always nursed to sleep, our own little bad habit, but such a sweet one.  Since, we have started reading some books at bedtime and still snuggling and rocking till he falls asleep!  Again I know some of you are gasping, but it is such a sweet time for me!!

I won't lie last week was rough...most nights there was a period where he was awake for two hours and refused to go to sleep.  This week has proved to be better so far...last night he slept from 8-7:30 without a peep or squeak!!

Although, it was hard to give up this time for just the two of us...I know it was time!!  He is growing so fast and is such a sweet yet ornery little guy!!

Let is snow, let it snow!!!

We were so thankful to wake up to over 8 inches of snow at our house Thursday morning and around 13 at the farm! Levi was busy today feeding hay in preparation for the blizzard conditions tomorrow and Monday, so the boys and I decided to have a little snow fun!!

We tried to sled, but the snow was a little too powdery, we made a tiny snow man (very fast) and finally got to the snow ball fight!!! They had a blast...Judson could barely stay awake through lunch!

A Boy and a Dog

Judson loves animals ALOT! Our new puppy is too much puppy right now so he can't really love on her the way he wants to but he got his fix this weekend!

Adriane and Ty have an older lab, Drake and he will let the kids do whatever they want! We turned around from cooking dinner and this is what I saw...so precious!!!

Melt my Heart

We were in town last week the day before Valentine's day and a lady asked Cole about VDay...he said it was a day all about Love! Then she proceeded to ask him "Who Loves you?" His first response without hesitating..."God" she said well who else...then "Jesus" he wasn't giving her the answer she was looking for...finally she said and "your parents."

He melted my heart that was EXACTLY what he should have said...it reaffirms that he is listening to what we are saying and teaching him!!

Happy LOVE Day

Happy LOVE day to everyone!! We had a great one here at the James' house...full of valentine crafts, fun and food!! We surprised the boys with some valentine baskets from the Pear Tree and they were so cute and the cookies were delicious!

Judson took a very long ( 3 1/2 hour) nap so Cole and I decorated the kitchen for dinner tonight and he made place card...I was so proud of his writing...he did it all my himself!!!

We are having a yummy dinner of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn on the cob and ice cream with chocolate covered strawberries and bananas!

I am so blessed to have these three to LOVE ME!!! They make my heart so full and everyday (ok most days) so much fun!! Love you boys to the moon and back a million times...everyday...FOREVER!!!!

Growing Growing GROWING

Levi and I have both been saying lately how big Judson has gotten...it seems like over night he grew ALOT! Two weeks ago I bought him a couple sets of new footie pjs for this reason! Night before last Judson went to bed with perfectly good pjs he woke up like this....

Precious...

If this isn't precious I don't know what is...

Birthday Present

Cole got a BIG surprise for his birthday! His cousin Benjamin got him a puppy...they were giving them away at the stock show and he thought Cole needed her!

(FYI- Our last puppy Copper disappeared after having her for about 6 weeks!)

It took Cole a LONG time to come up with a name but he finally decided on Bella...he told me its Disney! LOL

I don't have great pictures of her yet but here are a few...wish Bella luck that she can survive the Lost Camp Curse!! :)

Good Bye Disney

Well Friday was spent getting bags together and one last breakfast at Disney World! We had to be ready to get on the Disney bus to the airport by 930 so it was an early and fast morning!

Our flight left at noon so we had a fast lunch at the airport...YUK!! Judson slept the entire first 2 hour and 30 minute flight and Cole made best friends with the lady he sat by, showing her all of the fun games he could play on the phone! Bless her heart she was so nice!

We had a little lay over in Dallas and then off to Amarillo...this flight was on an American Eagle and we had the last row of the plane...perfect for us! The boys at alot of snacks on this flight...

We had alot of fun on our first BIG family vacation, but as always it was so nice to get home!!!

Disney Day 4

Our last full day at Disney we decided to go to Hollywood Studios.  Right away we got to meet "Jake" from the Neverland Pirates and Handy Manny with NO wait at all.  It was great...Jake was the whole reason we went to that park and we saw him in the first 20 minutes there.  We walked around and went on few rides, Cole got his face painted again and the big boys went on a Star Wars ride. On our way out of the park we saw an awesome street parade that made the day worth it.  Before that I wasn't very impressed with Hollywood Studios, mostly because the boys were too little for most of the entertainment. We then ate lunch and asked Cole how he wanted to spend the rest of his day.  He chose Magic Kingdom, we we hoped on a bus and made our way back there.

We arrived at Magic Kingdom and Cole wanted to immediately ride the "super fast roller coaster."  So we made our way there and the boys got in line...about 20 minutes later the roller coaster broke down.  I think Levi and I were WAY more disappointed than Cole.  We rode a few more rides and ate Mickey Mouse ice cream bars and watched Monsters Inc Laugh Out Load on stage.  It was really cute...Levi really enjoyed all the shows, he was the one always checking out the schedules.  We ended our night in front of Cinderellas Castle to watch the lights parade and fireworks.  Judson fell asleep during the parade and Cole lasted through the parade and long enough to "Cinderellas Castle Come Alive," and tinkerbell zip line from the top of the castle and he was OUT!!  Levi and I enjoyed the fireworks, I have never seen anything like it...amazing!!   However getting out of there with our double stroller was another thing...it was CRAZY!!

My Little Pirate was so excited!

Our Secret Agent

We participated in a Flash Mob

Judson LOVED the parade

YUMMMM Mickey Ice Cream

Daddy loved it too

Waiting for the light parade
We LOVED DISNEY World...and I will cherish the memories.  Its so nice to unplug from everyone and work and just enjoy each other...

Disney Day 3

Disney Day 3

Day three at Disney World brought alot of excitement because it was Cole's 4th Birthday!  We decided that we would have "breakfast in bed," to start the day off fun!  The night before Levi and I had blown up about 40 balloons and had them all over the room when he woke up.  He gave me the funniest look and said "What are these for?" I told him for his birthday and he acted like NO BIG DEAL!!  Ohhh he is growing up too fast!!

For Cole's  Birthday we decided to celebrate at Magic Kingdom.  We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge on Disney and we were excited that we could take a boat to MK. That meant we didn't have to take kids out of the stroller and fold it up...HUGE thing for Levi and I.  When we arrived I was amazed at how beautiful everything was at MK...we were in for a treat that day.  When we first got there we did a little exploring and then caught a Mickey show in front of Cinderella's castle.

Then we were off for the day to have some BIRTHDAY fun.  We rode several rides, Cole and Judson loved them.  We road Dumbo, the Tea Cups, carousel, Aladdin magic carpets,  Buzz Light Year, but by far Cole's favorite was the "super fast roller coaster," and he moves his finger really fast to show you exactly how it went.   And of course I didn't get a picture of him on it...The Brainstormer!!  I tried to get several good pictures and put my camera up, although I wanted to capture the moment I also wanted to just relax and savor the time together!!

My boys...LOVE them!

We ended the day a little earlier to head back to our hotel and clean up before Cole's big birthday dinner at Chef Mickey!!  We were so excited to get there and finally get some "autographs" that we came for.  Dinner was great and both boys had a fun time!  We ended the night watching the fireworks from across the water.  All in all I think Cole had a MAGICAL 4th Birthday!!

FINALLY the one we came for!!!

Happy 4th Cole...Love ya
